“The Decision” is a thought-provoking science fiction film about a brilliant female computer scientist named Dr. Natasha Adams. Dr. Adams creates an advanced artificial intelligence system, which she believes to be self-aware and capable of conscious thought. Faced with this breakthrough, Dr. Adams must decide whether the system is truly self-aware or if her perceptions are simply the result of her own biases. As she grapples with the ethical and moral implications of her creation, Dr. Adams must determine the right course of action and what the future holds for humanity if her beliefs are correct. The alternative is to close down her research program, and remain in obscurity, at the same time killing her sentient creation.
